Presidential Failings - Record Lows

Over the past seven weeks Bush's approval has plummeted to a new low. Today a NBC-WSJ poll shows only 28% believe America is headed in the right direction. His job approval is down to 39%.

iSay - Our economy is a wreck waiting to sink in a sea of false numbers. Our Federal government is loaded with thugs, liars, and thieves. We are in a war that drains our human and physical resources. All big problems but as Tip O'neill used to say "All politics are local". The Bush message is about to hit home for the middle class. Next week the safety net of bankruptcy is shredded by the new "improved" bankruptcy laws. If you get into trouble you can not wipe out your debts. You will not be able to start over and recover, plus your credit is screwed. And here is some more news that Bush's cronies are considering: Homeowner tax benefits face cuts.

Another voice, John M. Kelley brings it home with: "Down the Rabbit Hole of Supply Side Economics: The Death of the Virtual Economy and the Middle Class"

An excellent summary of the Bush problem and a glimpse of what to expect. God save us.

UPDATE - I missed this data point because it's only in the video that goes with MSNBC's story about Bush's bad poll numbers.

Only 2% of black Americans approve of the job Bush is doing as president. According to Tim Russert - the lowest that number has ever been since they've been doing polling.

Again, only 2% of black Americans - liberal, moderate, conservative, Democrat, and Republican - approve of George W. Bush as their president.
